DR Congo: A Campaign for the Unconditional Return of All Children to School in Kasaï Central

This article highlights the launch, in Kasaï Central, of an awareness campaign initiated by World Vision and its partners to ensure the unconditional return of all children to school. Running throughout September 2025, the initiative focuses on mobilising parents, community leaders, and local authorities, particularly in the areas of Tshikula and Tshimbulu where dropout rates remain worrying. Implemented under the Tudisange bua Kalasa mu Kasaï Central project with support from the European Union, the campaign includes awareness sessions, community dialogues, and mobilisation activities designed to remove barriers to schooling, especially for girls, and to promote inclusive and equitable education.

World Vision Deeply Concerned by Deadly Ebola Outbreak in DR Congo’s Kasai Province

World Vision raises alarm over a newly declared Ebola outbreak in Kasai Province, DRC, where 32 suspected cases and 15 deaths, including four health workers, have been reported. With a fatality rate of 57%, the organization warns of urgent humanitarian needs and is working with partners to assess the situation. Drawing on experience from past Ebola responses in DRC, Uganda, and West Africa, World Vision calls for immediate donor funding, better community engagement, and stronger regional coordination to contain the outbreak and prevent its spread.

World Vision Mozambique Remains A Committed Stakeholder In The Fight Against Malnutrition

World Vision-Mozambique (WV-Moz), through the Partnering for Sustainable Education Outcomes (PARES) project, is strengthening efforts to improve child health and nutrition in Zambézia province by providing daily school meals to over 50,000 children in 100 primary schools, alongside bi-annual deworming, regular health check-ups, and health, nutrition, and hygiene education.
