World Vision International ("WV"), an entity affiliated with World Vision, a relief, development and advocacy organization, with address at 800 W. Chestnut Avenue, Monrovia, California, USA, provides this Privacy Statement to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy and protection of personal data. This Statement provides important information regarding the processing of your personal data and your right to privacy and data protection. WV handles your personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy, which can be found here [link], as well as applicable privacy and data protection laws in the state of California of the U.S.A., where the level of data protection may be different from that in your country.

You have been asked to provide certain personal data with WV in order to learn more about church partnership opportunities and resources.  Your personal data, such as name, email, phone, and country of residence will be consolidated and stored by WV and processed in a data file of which WV is the data controller. Such data file is stored and processed via the online platform MailChimp, whose official name is The Rocket Science Group, LLC in accordance with its Terms of Service and Privacy Notice. Your privacy is important to us. If you choose to share your personal data with WV, your personal data will only be processed as necessary to transfer your personal data to allow you to receive more information about the WV entity in your country of residence. In either case, your personal data will be transferred with stringent security protocols in place.

You may delete, modify or update the personal data at any time by contacting WV through any of the means listed below. Access to your personal data will be limited and only be available to you and to those who, according to their job function, need to have access to your information. World Vision will store your personal data for a period not to exceed one year, in accordance with World Vision internal policies and applicable law. After such period, your information will be cancelled and removed from our system.

In addition, if you consented to receive more information about the World Vision entity in your country of residence, we will transfer your personal data with the respective WV entity, and they will follow up with you directly. That WV entity will be solely responsible for any further processing of your personal data, in accordance with the privacy and data protection laws in your country. Your personal data will not be disclosed to any non-WV entity other than as stated herein and requested by you, or used for any other purpose, without first obtaining your express consent to do so. WVI does not sell, or exchange any personal data for use by marketing or employment agencies, or otherwise disclose such information to third parties, except as may be required by law or through voluntary cooperation with law enforcement authorities if we judge that such cooperation is necessary to protect WV’s legal interest.
