Celebrating Semi-Annual Achievements

Due to violence, restrictions on movements and forced displacement, Palestinian children are facing an education crisis. With support from the European Union, World Vision is responding. In February, the organization launched catch-up classes that have already reached approximately 3,000 children, including children displaced by violence in the north of the West Bank.

This article tells the story of Eugénie, a 29-year-old mother living in Gemena, Democratic Republic of Congo, whose life was transformed by access to clean water. Formerly burdened by the daily struggle to fetch unsafe water for her family, Eugénie faced health issues and time constraints that impacted her children and livelihood. The installation of a water kiosk by World Vision changed everything, bringing safe water close to home, improving her family’s health, and giving her the time and freedom to focus on other responsibilities. The article highlights not only Eugénie’s transformation but also the positive ripple effects clean water has had on her entire community.

Suha, a 30-year-old mother from Tulkarem Refugee Camp, never imagined she would be forced to flee her home with nothing but a few clothes for her five-year-old daughter. Thisis her story and how humanitarian aid is critical for thousands of families in the north of the West Bank.

Palestinian children have the right to a safe, healthy environment. However, the West Bank remains one of the world’s most climate-vulnerable regions, facing many urgent environmental challenges. Action to protect the West Bank’s environment is therefore both critical and urgent. Through the Green Palestine project, implemented by World Vision, in partnership with the MA’AN Development Center and with financial support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), Palestinian children are taking the lead in defending their heritage and future.

Jabirou, an 18-year-old with a locomotor disability, gained mobility and dignity through a tricycle donated by World Vision Niger. Once forced to crawl, he now attends school and raises disability awareness in his community.
