With an average annual budget of US$4 million, World Vision Zambia’s WASH programme is addressing goal number 6 of the SDGs, which is to ensure the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all. We have been implementing the Integrated Water, Sanitation and Hygiene
Programme (iWASH) since 2008 with the goal to improve the health status of .mothers and children under the age of 5.

DR Congo: Marguerite's journey towards resilience
Marguerite is a courageous woman who has learned to be resilient in the face of the many difficulties life has thrown at her. Alone, she brings up her grandchildren and her sick daughter. Thanks to the support of World Vision, her life and that of her family quickly changed when her little daughter Acacia was cured of malnutrition. Today she lives a fulfilling life with her family.

World Vision phases out 4 Area Programmes
For the past 15 years, World Vision’s Area Programmes (APs) empowered 103 villages from 15 communes of the four districts, by fostering local ownership and sustainability. A participatory approach involving community members in planning, implementing, and evaluating projects ensured that the initiatives were tailored to the community’s specific needs and priorities. During that period, 24,073 most vulnerable children and their families received the tools to overcome poverty, through projects addressing malnutrition, limited health and sanitation access, improving education, empowering youth, and protecting children from abuse and exploitation.

DR Congo: Children Spared From Danger Thanks to World Vision's Drinking Water Supply in Maluku
This article shows how World Vision has supported the community of Maluku by providing drinking water. More than 7100 people have benefited from this project, which has also saved children from the risks of accidents and drowning while fetching water from long distances.
