World Vision’s partnership with OCHA helps strengthen a coordinated, accountable, and people-centred humanitarian system. Through OCHA-led coordination mechanisms and global policy forums, World Vision contributes operational expertise, evidence, and child-focused advocacy to support more effective collective action and better outcomes for vulnerable children, families, and communities.

Humanitarian Rest & Reform

World Vision is actively contributing to OCHA-led discussions on humanitarian reform and reset, helping shape efforts to strengthen coordination, accountability, localisation, and the effectiveness of humanitarian action in an increasingly complex operating environment. Drawing on frontline experience and operational learning, we provide evidence and partnership insights to inform system-wide change. Our engagement supports a humanitarian system that is more inclusive, accountable to affected people, and responsive to local priorities, while strengthening principled action and improving outcomes for crisis-affected children, families, and communities.

Policy & Advocacy

World Vision engages in OCHA-convened coordination and policy forums to help shape humanitarian action on critical issues, including humanitarian access, protection, accountability, financing, and international humanitarian law. Drawing on frontline experience and technical expertise, we contribute evidence and child-focused perspectives that inform policy and advocacy discussions. This partnership helps ensure that the needs, rights, and experiences of crisis-affected children and communities are reflected in decisions that guide humanitarian response at national, regional, and global levels.

The Humanitarian Architecture

World Vision’s engagement with OCHA is part of a wider effort to influence the international humanitarian architecture at multiple levels. Through IASC-related structures, NGO coordination platforms, technical working groups, communities of practice, and country-level coordination mechanisms, World Vision contributes operational perspectives, policy analysis, and advocacy priorities to discussions that shape humanitarian action. Through engagement with OCHA-led financing discussions and Country-Based Pooled Funds, World Vision contributes frontline evidence and operational expertise to help strengthen principled, needs-based, and accountable funding approaches. This collaboration supports funding decisions that prioritise the most vulnerable, improve the quality and reach of humanitarian assistance, and enable more effective responses that protect the wellbeing, rights, and future of crisis-affected children and communities.
