Typhoon Haiyan: One Month On

Tuesday, December 10, 2013

A month after Typhoon Haiyan, World Vision has reached over 100,000 affected people in areas of Leyte, Panay and Northern Cebu through food, water, non-food items, cooking sets, hygiene and shelter kits.

"I'm grateful we now have rice and canned goods, even if we don't have things as long as we won't be hungry anymore, " nine-year-old child survivor Angel says.

The Emergency Response is doing all the best to reach out to Typhoon Haiyan affected families and children despite difficult conditions and logistical challenges (impassable roads, destroyed communication lines, damaged seaports and airports).
