Environmental Stewardship and Climate Action Handbook

Recognising that environmental degradation and climate change are key drivers of extreme child vulnerability, World Vision approved the Environmental Stewardship Management Policy in 2021.

 

The updated Environmental Stewardship and Climate Action Handbook offers a practical, step-by-step guide to help World Vision teams and partners integrate environmental sustainability, climate mitigation, and adaptation into the field programming, operations and facilities. This edition introduces robust tools for environmental safeguarding and climate risk and vulnerability assessments in development and fragile contexts. Grounded in evidence-based approaches and community-led action, the handbook reflects our deepened commitment to restoring ecosystems, strengthening sustainable livelihoods, and protecting the future of children living in the most vulnerable communities.
