World Vision Central African Republic has released its latest Situation Report #1032, highlighting our ongoing efforts amid the humanitarian crisis in Central African Republic (CAR). In July 2025, we reached 110,397 people, including 66,659 children, with essential aid in food security, health, child protection, and WASH.
Key Focus on Achievements:
- July 2025 Highlights: Delivered life-saving support to 110,397 individuals, emphasizing rapid response to emerging needs. This included distributing 40,805 long-lasting insecticidal nets (LLINs) to combat malaria and reaching 69,449 people through health programs, with 677,283 suspected malaria cases among children under 5 tested.
Cumulative Since October 2024: Impacted 923,155 people, including 452,345 girls and boys. Notable milestones include:
Food Security and Livelihoods: Supported 507,471 people through cash and food programming, reaching 248,660 children; distributed US$2,405,564 in cash and vouchers to 144,633 people; provided in-kind food to 47,354 people; and fed 275,702 school children with meals.
Health & Nutrition: Performed 677,283 parasitological tests for malaria in children under 5 and distributed 40,805 LLINs to at-risk groups.
WASH: Reached 39,139 people, including 19,191 children, improving access to water, sanitation, and hygiene.
Child Protection & Participation: Benefited 37,545 children through protection programs; engaged 62,108 people in community-level initiatives; and involved 12,790 children and adolescents in advocacy against violence.
Advocacy & Social Cohesion: Contributed to 4 policymaking processes incorporating children’s voices, 5 policy changes via global campaigns, and 1,798 advocacy actions by supporters.
Strategic Wins: WV CAR secured its first ECHO grant after years of pre-positioning; finalized the first MoU with the CAR Minister of Education following a successful meeting, joining the high-level Education Partners Group; and launched the second Gavi Immunization project in July.
In a context of 447,089 IDPs and 45,261 Sudanese refugees, our teams remain committed to supporting 2.8 million vulnerable people.
