Middle East Crisis Response Escalation Humanitarian Outreach for Peace
Tuesday, April 21, 2026

Following the escalation of hostilities in early March 2026, Lebanon has entered a phase of acute humanitarian strain, compounding pre-existing vulnerabilities driven by economic decline, widespread poverty, and protracted displacement. Within weeks, large-scale population movements have placed significant pressure on already overstretched services and host communities, while needs have intensified across basic assistance, food security, health, water and sanitation, and protection sectors. Children are disproportionately affected, facing disruption to education, heightened protection risks, and increasing psychosocial distress. In response, World Vision Lebanon has initiated a time-bound, multi-sectoral emergency intervention designed to deliver life-saving and life-sustaining support to affected populations.

This response plan outlines the operational scope, strategic priorities, and integrated approach underpinning the intervention, with a focus on timely, equitable, and accountable assistance to the most vulnerable populations.
