Tuesday, July 21, 2026

The first issue of the ReactsIn Newsletter highlights early results and learning from the project’s work to address hunger, malnutrition, and gender inequality across Bangladesh, Cambodia, Kenya, Tanzania, and Somalia. It features a message from World Vision Canada’s Vice President of Programs and Policy, updates on the project’s aims, reflections from a Global Affairs Canada visit to Kenya, the launch of ReactsIn in Cambodia, and findings from a gender analysis conducted across four countries. The issue also shares key programme numbers, a video trailer, and a story illustrating how the project is helping strengthen health, nutrition, and gender-equitable practices at community level.

LEARN MORE about ReactsIn

The ReactsIn (Realizing Gender Equality, Attitudinal Change and Transformative Systems in Nutrition) project addresses hunger and malnutrition in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Kenya, Somalia, and Tanzania by engaging women and adolescent girls to increase both access to and production of micronutrient-dense foods. The project promotes climate-smart and biofortified crops that are drought-resistant, improve dietary diversity, and help prevent micronutrient deficiencies.

Led by World Vision Canada and funded by the Government of Canada, ReactsIn brings together the expertise of Nutrition International, Harvest Plus, and McGill University. Each of these organisations work with World Vision Canada to strengthen health and nutrition systems, promote gender equality, and improve nutrition outcomes for women, adolescent girls, children, and communities.
