Lebanon Response 2026 - Situation Report #11
Thursday, May 21, 2026

Situation Report #11 highlights the worsening humanitarian situation in Lebanon between 2 March and 21 May 2026 despite continued diplomatic efforts and the announcement of a ceasefire extension. Ongoing hostilities, renewed displacement orders, attacks impacting civilians and healthcare systems, and movement restrictions continued to drive humanitarian needs across affected areas. More than 1 million people remain displaced across Lebanon, including an estimated 390,000 children, while pressure on collective shelters and essential services continues to rise.

During this period, World Vision Lebanon and its partners reached over 187,000 people, including 64,000 children, through emergency food assistance, WASH services, psychosocial support, shelter interventions, healthcare services, and protection activities delivered across multiple governorates. The report also highlights operational constraints, funding gaps, advocacy priorities, and the urgent need for sustained humanitarian support to protect children and vulnerable families affected by the crisis.
