The challenge of defying chronic malnutrition statistics
Nampula province, in the north of Mozambique, has the highest rate of chronic malnutrition although the region offers optimal agro-ecological conditions for agriculture. The combination of the distribution of CSB+ and vegetable oil and also the dissemination of good dietary practices is restoring hope for families whose children were on the verge of falling into chronic malnutrition statistics. This activity is carried out by the Educating Children Together - Phase III (ECT-3), implemented by World Vision-Moçambique, funded by the McGovern Dole Food for Education and Child Nutrition Program of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Mark Kelly is one of the World Vision leaders who witnessed this action in Kwango, an area where the IPC4 has been reported.
