World Vision has partnered with Romania’s Direcţia Generală de Asistenţă Socială a Municipiului Bucureşti, Ștefan cel Mare University and Brasov General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection. Two additional PCC were set up and soon will be operational in Valcea.

"Girls are heartbroken to still be barred from schools in Afghanistan, as their brothers return" - World Vision
Afghanistan's de facto authorities’ Ministry of Education, in a notice issued on 19th March 2023, announced that new school year will begin on 21st March – however this notice did not provide clarity on girls’ education above grade six, one year after the ban was introduced. Afghanistan is currently the only country in the world where girls are restricted from attending full time education from grade six. As the result of the restrictions, 1.1 million girls have been prevented from continuing their education since March 23, 2022.
Asuntha Charles, WVA’s National Director calls on the de facto authorities to reverse the ban on girls' education.

Piped Water and System Strengthening: Government partnership for WASH services in Ethiopia
Case study on the the Water4Life+ project, jointly launched in 2021 by World Vision, the Government of Ethiopia, and the Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF). In 2022, the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation (CNHF) provided additional funding through the SAFE4HCFs project to strengthen and support sustainability of WASH services in 62 health centers. The overall goal is to transform the lives of 1.6 million people and schoolchildren in Ethiopia through improving access to safe water, sanitation facilities, and hygiene practices in healthcare facilities, schools and their communities.
