In 2022, World Vision International in Cambodia (WVI-C) worked closely with Local Authorities, partners and communities to support the Royal Government of Cambodia's COVID-19 recovery efforts - focusing on the most vulnerable children, youth and their families. Throughout the year, WVI-C positively impacted more than 4.5 million people, including 1.3 million children, across 14 Provinces and urban Phnom Penh.

World Vision’s Timed and Targeted Counselling (TTC) is a family-inclusive behaviour change communication (BCC) approach targeting families of young children, especially the most vulnerable and marginalized. TTC encompasses various life-saving health practices through appropriately timed messages delivered using interactive storytelling. It applies a dialogue counselling methodology to assess current needs and practices and negotiate progressive improvements.

Constant military operations in the West Bank in 2022 have exposed a substantial number of children from the Jenin and Nablus areas to a high level of violence. To address mental health concerns, World Vision has implemented emergency response programming since September 2022. This Learning Report presents the achievements and learnings from the first phase of this emergency response.

This report presents the key findings from the study conducted by World Vision to assess the mental health status of children and their caregivers in the West Bank, their knowledge on mental health and their attitude toward Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS).

Children and caregivers still struggle with mental issues after the tragedies they witnessed during the Syria-Türkiye earthquake.

World Vision International in Cambodia and Plan International Cambodia (PIC) voiced concerns about the lack of nutrition for children in some provinces who are underweight, stunted and emaciated.

To promote exclusive breastfeeding and support Palestinian mothers toward this objective, World Vision International, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, launches the Child Friendly Health Clinic Initiative.
