In Zambia, water is the foundation of equity. When a community gains access to clean, reliable water, the playing field levels instantly. Girls stay in school instead of walking miles to collect water. Families break the cycle of waterborne diseases.

However, to reach our national goals and ensure every Zambian child has a fair start in life, we must view water systems not as an expense, but as a high-yield investment.

Why We Must Invest Now
• Education: Safe water in schools keeps girls in classrooms and improves cognitive outcomes.
• Climate Resilience: Robust water systems are our first line of defence against the intensifying cycles of drought.
World Vision Zambia National Director, Marc Nosbach, calls on partners, the government, the private sector, and the international community to increase and accelerate investments in climate-resilient water infrastructure.
