World Vision's Southern Africa Flood and Cyclone Emergency Response (SAFCER) team was honored by the field visit of Swiss Foreign Minister, Manuel Ellert to our programmes in Nhamatanda, Mozambique. In addition to a primary school, the dignitaries also visited a food distribution site which is run by World Vision in partnership with the World Food Programme that supports the victims of Cyclone Idai, in Nhamatanda, Mozambique.

As a result of our partnership with the Swiss Embassy and the World Food Programme, World Vision's emergency response teams in Mozambique have supported 425.000 survivors in three Mozambican provinces: Sofala, Manica and Zambézia with life-saving nutrition. This assistance includes the distribution of more than 12,000 tonnes of food supplied by the World Food Programme.
