Media Engagement: An Evening of Dialogue under the Khaïma

On June 26, 2025, World Vision Mauritania hosted a media gathering at its headquarters in Nouakchott, bringing together journalists from both national and international outlets. Held under a traditional khaïma (tent), the event provided a warm and meaningful setting for open dialogue.

The evening offered an opportunity to present the organization’s key achievements from 2024 through an institutional presentation, a short film screening, one-on-one discussions, and first-hand testimonies. It aimed to foster direct engagement with media professionals while reinforcing the transparency and visibility of our work on the ground.

One of the highlights of the evening was the testimony of Imam Hademine Saleck, President of the Network of Imams and Religious Scholars for the Protection of Children and Family Well-being. He emphasized the importance of the partnership with World Vision Mauritania, affirming that the actions undertaken are consistent with Islamic principles and contribute to child protection within communities.

Several beneficiaries also shared their personal experiences, illustrating the tangible impact of the organization’s interventions on their daily lives.

Through their active participation, journalists contributed to enriching the conversation and documenting the progress achieved. This event reflects World Vision Mauritania’s ongoing commitment to open dialogue with stakeholders and to highlighting collective efforts in support of the most vulnerable children.
