President Daniel Chapo of Mozambique has pledged to increase access to school meals for children across the country. His commitment came during a courtesy meeting with World Vision’s Southern Africa Regional Leader, Matthew Pickard, in response to a call from the organization.

School feeding is a cornerstone of World Vision’s ENOUGH Global Campaign to end child nutrition, which the Mozambican head of state was briefed on and expressed support for.

The President also expressed appreciation for World Vision’s longstanding partnership and acknowledged the organization's significant contributions to public health and development. He specifically highlighted World Vision’s role in reducing malaria rates and improving access to clean drinking water for Mozambican families.

In response, Regional Leader Matthew Pickard reaffirmed World Vision’s commitment to continued collaboration in support of the well-being of children, their families, and communities across Mozambique.
