World Vision at the World Urban Forum
More than a billion children live in cities today, with hundreds of millions of them living in slums and informal settlements. By 2050, it’s projected that 70% of the world’s children will live in cities; more and more in informal, poor and fragile areas where they are especially prone to suffer from poverty, exclusion, hazards, violence, and unintentional injuries.
So this is why we're attending the World Urban Forum and why, together with our partners, asking the 15,000+ attendees to put vulnerable children at the heart of urban planning and urban development. It is vital, for the future of our nations, that we all ensure that children can grow in environments that allow them to flourish.
