Syria refugees struggle in winter weather

Friday, January 9, 2015

A winter storm blankets a Syrian refugee camp in Lebanon's Bekaa Valley with heavy snow, collapsing tent shelters and making daily life even more difficult for children and families living in the camp.

World Vision has provided cash assistance to people living in tented settlements and unfinished buildings to help them prepare for winter conditions. Other vulnerable communities have received blankets, winter clothing, plastic sheeting, mattresses and gas heaters.
