New Campaign: LIVE LIFE — Connecting youth globally around fullness of life

This Easter season, WVI’s new Global Youth Engagement team is launching an internet-based campaign to explore the question of what it means to live life in all its fullness. World Vision has tasked this team with mobilising and connecting young people ages 14 to 24 across geographical, cultural and socioeconomic borders from both developed and developing countries. 

Jesus said he came so that people could “have life and have it to the full” (John 10:10 Today’s NIV). Regardless of faith or socioeconomic background, people struggle with what it means to live a full life and with whether they are truly living the life they were intended to.

"It is my experience in visiting many of our projects that giving a broader perspective is one way to help young people make sense of their own situations,” said Paul Newnham, director, Global Youth Engagement – WVI. “We hope that in connecting young people directly, stories can be shared and perspectives broadened to strengthen our work for child well-being everywhere.” 

Live Life will be the first of the Global Youth Engagement team’s many planned efforts to empower young people to reach their full potential and connect with one another. "I am so excited to see the energy coming into this first trial campaign and pray for it to help those that engage to deepen their faith and commitment to bring and be change in our world,” Newnham said. 

The campaign will launch a new World Vision Youth web platform that will enable young people to share their ideas, actions, resources, and creations with one another. Live Life will be the first campaign to fuel sharing through weekly challenges that incorporate Bible readings and stories of how youth from more than 15 countries—from Albania and Cambodia to Kenya and El Salvador—are making a difference in their own local communities.
