Responding to violence against children (VAC)

World Vision is a global Christian relief, development and advocacy organisation dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice.

Our aim is to contribute measurably to helping children enjoy good health, be educated for life, be cared for and protected, participate fully in decisions that affect their lives, and experience the love of God and their neighbours.

Unfortunately, violence, in all its forms, is the biggest issue affecting children today. But it doesn’t have to be this way. For that reason, World Vision is committed to end violence against children (EVAC).

The following materials have been developed by World Vision in order to end and respond to violence against children (VAC).

Faith based approaches

Church and Interfaith Engagement

With the large number of trusted religious leaders in areas where World Vision works, especially in remote areas where government presence is limited, faith leaders can be especially helpful partners for World Vision in achieving its child development goals.

Channels of Hope (CoH) Project Model

Channels of Hope (CoH) partners with, and empowers, churches and faith communities to contribute to child well-being. It equips faith leaders with both factually-correct information and insight into their scriptures and faith traditions, guiding them to become powerful change agents.
