Children and families in Afghanistan urgently need your help

A series of major earthquakes of magnitude have struck Afghanistan leaving the region devastated. More than 2,000 deaths have been reported so far. Thousands are injured, and the numbers are likely to increase as the scale of destruction unfolds. Entire communities have been reduced to rubble. Rescue efforts are now underway to find those still trapped in collapsed homes and buildings.

Your donation today will help provide children and families with the critical shelter, food and additional resources they urgently need to survive in the aftermath of this disaster.

We know the impact of this quake will be long-lasting and extremely painful. Children are among the most at risk and will pay the highest price.

How your donation helps

Your support today will help families who have lost their homes and livelihoods.

In this remote area where children and families are already struggling to survive with limited access to healthcare, clean water and education, the consequences are devastating. Afghanistan is already facing one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises where 22.9 million people require humanitarian assistance and 3.5 million children are acutely malnourished.

Your generosity is helping save lives. We will work with our trusted Afghan partners in the area to deliver critical lifesaving support to those who need it most.

Families can receive shelter, emergency food supplies and hygiene kits to help them survive in the immediate aftermath of the earthquake. And over the coming weeks and months we will help them recover and rebuild their livelihoods.

As the scale of the devastation become clear, we’ll continue working through our trusted local partners to respond in the region where help is needed most.

Together, we can help communities recover – and give families the strength to face tomorrow with hope.
