Become a Tutor for Peers

Ferlin, 12 years old girl just opened the drama session at Beci Elementary School. Even though she is a teenager, Ferlin was looking so confident to playing her role as Peers Educator in Christmas and New Year Celebration event at Kapela Beci, Wae Mowol Village, Lembor Regency, West Manggarai.

“Hello everyone, my name is Ferlin, and I am playing a role as Peers Educator,” said her.

On that day, not only played as Peers Educator, Ferlin also contributed to arrange the details of that event.

“For preparing this Christmas and New Year celebration, I also ask my friends to play the drama based on the scenario I have made about the Birth Certificate. In addition, some poems that I have created myself to be brought by me and my friends so that later can make the event more festive,” she explained.

Ferlin claimed that she was happy to be involved in that event. She could implement her hobby to created drama and poem script.

“I also glad to know Wahana Visi Indonesia. Because of WVI, my friends and I can get a place to share our hobby and creativity. So people can see us and make us more confident while performing in a forum with big audiences,” she added.

Ferlin is a child of Headmaster of Beci Elementary School. She was active to participate in every WVI’s activity. She also involved in Child Group activity as a Peers Educator. Ferlin participated as a reading teacher for her friends who can’t read.

Being a Peers Educator is a program held by one of WVI’s assisted school. This program provides special assistance to children who can not learn independently including reading, writing, and counting. The mentoring of this activity is carried out by another child who has been selected as a Tutor.
