Reading party enriches children’s soul
“Reading party” is the most-awaited event of Huong Phung primary school’s student, their parents and teachers in Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province, in last April.
With the theme “Reading for your future”, the event attracted hundreds of readers who joined reading a varied range of books with diversified contents.
“I’ve never seen such a huge number of books”, said Ha, a fifth grader. “I like Doremon the most”.
“Before the event, my kid asked me to joined her collecting books for her school. I was so happy to hear that”, said Thanh Nga, a fouth grader’s mother, when she was reading books with her daughter:
Not only reading books, the students also joined outside activities such as games, performances and competitions.
“Reading party”, “Green library, green bookcase” and “Building a shared bookcase” are a series of activities that World Vision has supported schools in Huong Hoa district to implement, aiming at encouraging local children’s reading habit.
“Reading books help children enrich their soul”, said Nguyen Mai Trong, Head of Huong Phung primary school.
