World Vision Mongolia received an award for Most Child-Friendly Talent Supporting Organisation by International Children’s NairamdalCenter in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism during a ceremony “Silver Martian 2012”on Feb 6th.

The trophy was awarded to the international NGO’s country director Vincent Edwards.

The competition, aimed at promoting Mongolian traditional folk music, dance and art, covered contestants from 13 provinces and four districts and Ulaanbaatar.

During the ceremony, many of World Vision Mongolia’s accomplishments rocked the stage. One example, Bayartsetseg Gansukh – an 11th grade student from Dundgobi province who is also a sponsored child registered in the Sponsorship Program – dazzled the audience with her tremendous ability to sing folk long songs. She won Best Long Song Singer, and Best Folk Artist nominations, which granted her an admission to Mongolian State University of Art and Culture without the entrance exam. Bayartsetseg won gold medal in 2010 at “Vision Star” festival.
