World Vision Youth Orchestra performs during Zero Hunger Covenant

Today at the Children's Museum, the President, Otto Perez Molina, presented a brief summary of the progress of the Zero Hunger Covenant, highlighting the efforts of different sectors to reduce chronic malnutrition and reiterándolo high on the national agenda.

With over 300 participants, the event was chaired by Luis Monterroso, Secretary for Food Safety and Nutrition, SESAN Awaken Emilio Mendez of Guatemala 2012, Arnold Chacón, U.S. Ambassador and the President of the Republic, government officials, representatives of the International cooperation, private sector leaders, youth, civil society, including representatives of World Vision Guatemala.

During the activity, children of World Vision Youth Orchestra performed an artistic presentation, as an example of the transformation that World Vision is encouraging development opportunities.

At the end of the SESAN Secretary reported on the food and nutrition situation and especially the importance of investing in nutrition in the country and the value of the sum of all sectors.

Informally outside the museum, the President and other officials, held a symbolic activity of the bomb of malnutrition, as a way to engage especially with children of Guatemala, which she shared activity with girls Suzuki group and children, the Orchestra Sounds of Hope World Vision Guatemala.
