Ecosystem Restoration
WASH For All (China)
Sustainable clean water, gender-sensitive and inclusive hygiene and sanitation facilities. Building safe and clean drinking water and sanitation facilities in rural areas in China with cross-cutting angles of sustainable water management, gender-sensitive, and disability-inclusive.
Phongsaly Forest Restoration and Protection (Laos)
Addressing the impacts of slash-and-burn farming, the project will implement proven agroforestry practices, including conservation agriculture with trees, strata systems, integrated tree farming, and transitioning from monoculture to agroforestry and livestock integration.
Ever Rich Forest Project (Mongolia)
The project is enhancing livelihoods through sustainable forest and land management, equipping 50 vulnerable households with agricultural and forest management skills to diversify incomes through eco-friendly practices.
Green Guardians (Thailand)
The Green Guardians project in Ban Tha Din Daeng, Thailand, led by empowered youth and community members, has restored over 40 acres of mangrove forest to protect against disasters, fostered sustainable livelihoods, and integrated environmental education, creating a replicable model of resilience that combines ecosystem restoration with youth leadership and community ownership.
Regreening Communities in Dien Bien (Viet Nam)
Engaging over 12,000 residents, this project promotes sustainable agroforestry on sloping lands by training ethnic minority households in natural farming methods that restore ecosystems, regenerate soil, and increase household income.
Climate-Resilient Green Community (Cambodia)
Regreening Community and Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR) project model supports over 1,500 smallholder farmers. It involves more than 9,900 hectares of community forests and protected areas in Preah Vihear province. Through climate-smart agriculture, inclusive community engagement, and locally-led forest management, the project strengthens rural resilience, safeguards ecosystems, and natural resources.
Environmental Management
NextGen Climate Action (China)
Climate change adaptation capacity building for children, youth, and local organizations to enhance community resilience. This project aims to build awareness of climate change, fuel innovation for mitigation and adaptation, and develop community-based solutions.
BASIN Project (Laos)
Building Climate-Adaptive Solutions through Inclusive Market Networks (BASIN) is a program that strengthens economic resilience by promoting climate-smart agricultural practices and developing inclusive agri-food markets that prioritize women and marginalized groups.
Innovative Ger Project (Mongolia)
The Innovative Ger Project is transforming housing for 910 homeless and vulnerable individuals by delivering sustainable, safe, and climate-conscious homes featuring advanced heating, water, and sanitation facilities, as well as a multipurpose entrance cabin that supports food security. This initiative enhances children’s quality of life, with a long-term impact on both the environment and society.
Zero Waste, Full Circle: Rethink, Reuse, Repurpose (3R) (Thailand)
The 3R Project promotes zero waste and a circular economy by teaching schools and communities to rethink, reuse, and repurpose waste, fostering sustainable habits, youth empowerment, income generation, and broad knowledge sharing while engaging corporate partners to support environmental education and community development.
Solar Power for Schools in Huong Hoa (Viet Nam)
This project powers classrooms with solar energy for over 1,400 students, improving education and healthcare infrastructure while reducing carbon emissions and boosting climate resilience in remote schools.
Transforming Waste into Opportunity for Greener (Cambodia)
The project aims to address the gap in collecting and recycling plastic, promoting the circular economy while also creating economic opportunities for youth and strengthening environmental education. The project establishes a network of smart solar-powered grinder machines across three provinces in Cambodia. Shredded plastic will be used for recycling factories or repurposed into sustainable products such as plastic bricks, tiles, and furniture.
Community Resilience
Disaster Ready 360 (China)
Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction in Enhancing Children's and the Community’s Resilience to Disasters. A holistic 360-degree approach of training children, families, and local organizations on earthquake, floods, and drought preparedness; emergency drills, and community emergency response planning.
SNAP Project (Laos)
The five-year SNAP project in Salavan Province enhances nutrition for young children and women by addressing the drivers of malnutrition through improved feeding, hygiene, gender relations, and adolescent support across 15 villages. It integrates disaster risk reduction and leverages community gardens and savings groups to build resilience.
Ger Community Resilience Project (Mongolia)
This project enhances flood resilience in eight Ulaanbaatar subdistricts by strengthening climate policies, building adaptive capacity in government and communities, implementing flood-reducing infrastructure, and expanding knowledge for sustainability, while engaging diverse stakeholders with a strong focus on gender inclusion.
LIFE Project (Thailand)
The Livelihood Initiative for the Economic Empowerment of Women and Girls from Underrepresented Communities (LIFE) empowers underrepresented Karen women and girls in Chiang Mai by enhancing their skills and market access in handicrafts and sustainable agriculture through renovated community centers, fostering economic self-reliance, local leadership, and inclusive development to uplift the broader community.
Digitalization for Resilience (Viet Nam)
The initiative introduced localized weather alerts and digital learning platforms to enhance early warning systems and support inclusive, community-led risk planning.
Cultivating Urban Poor Farming and Regreening Solutions (Cambodia)
This project aims to optimize urban spaces by transforming underutilized areas into liveable, productive environments through urban farming and regreening solutions. Urban farming will improve the local food supply while fostering entrepreneurship among women. Regreening will retrofit the fragile community environments by transforming portions of land into green spaces to absorb the heat and adapt to the adverse impacts of climate change.
