Keep hands clean and children well in Papua New Guinea

Wednesday, July 27, 2016

El Nino weather in 2015 and 2016 left tens of millions of people in need. Although the weather has passed, the worst affects are yet to be felt. In Papua New Guinea, drought and frost have affected the food security of nearly 1.5 million people. Water shortages caused a cholera early in 2016. Providing clean and safe water is one of the main ways that the destruction and disease created by disasters like El Nino can be reduced, so World Vision is implementing water projects in some of the most remote regions of Papua New Guinea.
