Childhood And Adolescence Ambassador.

Through her work as a journalist and news presenter , Celida Magaña provides accurate information to Salvadorans, awareness and social responsibility , giving voice to the most needed, specially childhood and adolescence. This is why World Vision El Salvador appointed her with due recognition of ¡Childhood and Adolescence Ambassador!.
For World Vision the Childhood and Adolescence Ambassadors are people with an untarnished image and Christian principles and values, who become spokesmen for the Organization´s cause: Bring hope and transformation of life to the most vulnerable.
Celida shared with several communities supported by World Vision in El Salvador, planning work and development in various areas such as education, health, rights, moral values, emergency cares and others. And so, that its primary role with the Organization will be: show the Salvadoran reality, through her work as a journalist, that allows her to contribute through her image, encourage others to continue the work of rural and urban development, where childhood and adolescence is our greatest interest.
It is intended that this personality participate voluntarily contributing their gifts and talents in awareness campaigns, field visit and do things that encourage others to join for building a better world for children and adolescents.

Celida Magaña was born on September 12th , 1982, in San Salvador. She´s the second of three children. Studied from nursery to high school at the Catholic School “Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Fátima” (Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima) of the Dominican Sisters of Anunciat.
The influence of binding solidarity works born from the knowledge of people like Mother Teresa of Calcutta. Celida has a degree in Communication Sciences, her thesis focused on one of the most social problems afflicting the Salvadoran population: the phenomenon of gangs; which led to a guide for proposals to provide spaces for young people and prevent further child recruitment. But her real career began in TV Channel 12, where from 2004 she worked as a presenter and journalist for “Noticiero Hechos” (Act News). Her career includes research work on women, disadvantages and areas of opportunity in Salvadoran society, the story of “El Mozote”, a chapter of El Salvador to be known by future generations to never happen again; sections directed into the leading news release as “Characters of Legend” to make known to those who leave their mark for their work in Salvadoran society and “Helping Hand” a space to publicize good news, actions of those who are willing to selflessly serve those in need. Beside, Celida is wife and mother of two children who are their main motivation to work for a better world.
