Online Event - 16 Days of Activism
Gender-based violence (GBV) is a universal phenomenon, according to a UN Report. It further states that, “Globally, one in three women experiences either intimate partner violence or non-partner sexual violence during their lifetime (WHO). GBV ranges from physical, sexual, emotional and other family violence to female genital mutilation (FGM), child marriage, early childbearing, trafficking and sexual violence as a weapon of war.” The role of key partners like the faith community is vital for the GBV campaign to reach the most vulnerable girls and women in all the countries in East Africa. Your participation and contribution in this dialogue can help make it happen.
