Beans and tortillas flavored Hindu

Ilumina Convention Center was the setting for the presentation of the subject "Comprehensive Child Development: From Theory to Practice", issued by Jaisankar Samar, Global Field Operations of World Vision International.

Sarma, originating in India, World Vision has served for over 30 years in various positions - from the Vice President of Development in Transformer World Vision International, National Director of Cambodia, to the level of World Vision India program.

His experience is strongest in the areas of sustainable development of local communities, impact measurement, program evaluation, and management of knowledge in promoting humanitarian organizations.

Sarma, addressing the participants, said ¨ childhood development is holistic, promotes integration of sectors into welfare outcomes for children. The rights of children contribute towards achieving results well-being and empowerment must be from childhood to adolescence.

The activity also involved a group of 15 mothers guides communities from San Juan San Raymundo and Sacapetéquez, who shared their experiences with those present in the framework of the implementation of the activity called "common pot", part of the Heart Strategy Family. Also, instead of offering a coffee break, was offered a tasting tortillas with beans - called "Tones", typical of San Juan Sacatepequez - which were tasted with a taste for hearing the exhibitor from India.

As shown in the results of transformational development opportunities in childhood, was presented the Youth Orchestra of World Vision Guatemala "Sounds of Hope", and a group of them presented their personasles achievements and goals that have a future for them themselves and for the country.

Additionally, presented the experiences that are being made in the i58 Initiative and Campaign 2012 Awaken Guatemala, as an example of coordinated work being done especially for the best interest of children.

World Vision is a Christian relief, development and advocacy, dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or gender.
