A child can be an example for other children to change their habits and character. This is what World Vision Indonesia in Ternate aimed for through the Child Group program. Filia Ibrahim, 14, is an example of how a child can change her character and inspire other children.

Filia takes part in Fomagaro Child Group in her village, Dorari Isa. She is in second year of Junior High School and active in the group. She learned many things here through Harmonic education. Harmonic teaches students to build a good relationship with other people and nature.

Sariyan Rohani, Filia's mother admits that her daughter has changed a lot after joining in Child Group.

"Filia likes to help me do household chores without my request. She's now able to manage her time. She understands the time when she needs to study, play, and help me at home. She now does shalat prayers on time everyday and likes to go to school. I don't need to force her anymore," Sariyan shared.

Not just Sariyan, other parents also find their children change after joining Child Group in.

With the positive changes in Filia, Sariyan shares her experiences to the mothers who are also her neighbors.

"I tell the women around me to encourage their children to join with Child Group because they will become more educated there," said the mother of two.

Similar to her mother, Filia tells her changing process after joining Child Group.

"Child Group has taught me to learn everything seriously and to make friendship with good people. I want to study hard and make my parents proud of me," said Filia.
