Little Adon runs fast chasing his mother. He also climbs a ladder toward the main room of his house. He looks very healthy. You wouldn't know that Adon previouly suffered from malnutrition. Adon's body was so weak at that time that even he couldn't support his body. [See: Adon and The Nutrition Garden].

Adon is healthier now because the people of Lolowano village in West Sumba have supported him. Lolowano was previously assisted by Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI) in West Sumba operational office. Currently the operational office has phased out, however, the spirit of WVI in giving service to the people never ends.

The village which is very remote, has access to Puskesmas, an Indonesian's public health centre. To fulfill the need of health access, the community in Lolowano village worked together. The Posyandu programme is held once every month.

According to the testimonial of the Posyandu's cadre, now there are no children suffering from malnutrition in Lolowano village. Adon is always taken to the Posyandu by his parents to get additional vitamins and nutrition. His parents also feed him nutritious meals.

Today he is 31-months-old, and Adon can do many activities and play with his friends. Last March 2015, Adon reached 13 kg.

"Now in our village, there are no more children suffering from malnutrition. Many parents feed their children with nutritious meals like what I have done wtih Adon," said Ina Lisa, Adon's mother.

Although WVI's work has ended in Lolowano village, the villagers keep using what they have learned and are feeding their children with nutritious meals.
