Giving Breast Milk is a Blessing

Tuesday, April 3, 2018

I am an employee of Wahana Visi Indonesia Sikka Operational Office. When I have been arriving at East Nusa Tenggara I ever heard the song that explained how important the breast milk for children. The song really thrilling me. And then I heard the song again when I have been fighting for giving breast milk for my child.

As a field social worker, it was not easy for me to give the best for my child especially in giving exclusive breast milk for his life. He only needs breast milk to support his future life, but I could not give him.

Dei Aldrich Corrado Ninmusu is the name of him. I called him as Rado. I delivered him at three weeks faster than he should. But, thank God Rado was born normal by Caesar operation.

In fact of Rado birth, Doctor asked me to gave the breast milk for him. Unfortunately, I could not produce breast milk, so that Rado did not get what he should get.

I feel painful for a week over Rado birth. I got an infection on my wound surgery, so I must stay at the hospital for hospitalization. I brought Rado and also his brother, Mario, to stay with me at the hospital. I feel desperate because the production of breast milk stopped. Thank God I have a great husband and family at work, so I got a lot of support to be healed at that time.

After going out from the hospital, I still have to deal with my sickness. I did an outpatient for almost 2 months before I totally healed.

I finally back to work and do my main job. It was a pleasure, but not for my child Rado. Since I got back to work, I was difficult to produce breast milk for Rado. Stressing and overthinking become my problems. It really impactful for my breast milk production.

“Rado, let us fight together, baby,” I whispered him.

By the time I promised to Rado, I felt the changes on me. I try to make everything fun and relax so that my breast milk production become normal. I really thankful to God that Rado has passed his 6 months period to get exclusive breast milk.

This time I promise myself to be more spiritful to spread the good vibes to other moms around Sikka assisted area. This experience becomesw the motivation for myself and a live campaign for other people.
