Children enjoy their special day

CHILDREN’S DAY is dedicated to celebrating childhood and pays tribute to all children around the world.

“Children are our future. Today we emphasise the importance of investment in children. World Vision has an ongoing commitment to work with community and other partners to ensure that children develop to their full potential and are protected from abuses,” says Chris Herink, National Director of World Vision in Lao PDR.

World Vision focuses on improving the lives of vulnerable children. We believe Lao children are the hope for the nation’s future, and we are working to bring change through a development approach which integrates education, health, child protection, and agriculture and livelihood.

World Vision also works with multiple partners to make sure that children are better protected from abuse, neglect, exploitation and other form of violence. We are providing an opportunity for children to actively participate in building a better future for their own community.
