Discovering experiences, common approaches and best practices and converging to establish a genuine partnership around the quality of education in Mali, World Vision Mali organized a 'Learning Week' from 1 to 5 December 2014 in Bamako. The workshop brought together 56 participants from government and partner organizations and was intended to ensure that stakeholders in the education sector were aligned with the strategic guidelines of the state and those of WV Mali.

As we approach the end of the strategy FY13-15 and commence the strategy for FY16-18, it is essential to be informed and to inform on matters of education & learning, and ensure synergy of actions of our organization with those of partners and the Malian state to Learn and Understand to Apply.

The learning week allowed participants to learn about the state of affairs of the interim plan of the educational system of Mali, the outlook for the PRODEC (Ten-Year Education Development) 2nd generation and the procedure of early childhood formation in Mali among other issues.

Presentations from WV Mali on the priorities of the strategy, the technical approach of the sector, the use of tools such as FLAT, model projects and their implications, confirmed the suitability of our priorities and those other actors.

The initiation of this platform to share experiences and best practices in education was welcomed by all and there was a strong will to build strong partnerships and good planning and implementation of education programs for children of Mali.
