World Vision Mauritania Annual Report 2015
Tuesday, May 10, 2016
In 2015, World Vision has reached 32 years of service in favor of Mauritanian populations. This annual report shows you our interventions
and our achievements in partnership with international, national and local partners during financial year (FY) 2015 (October 2014 –September 2015).

As you will read in this report, World Vision continues to offer programs and projects in various sectors (Education, Health, Nutrition, Economic
Development, Disaster Risk Reduction) to improve the living conditions of children and their families. We implement our activities in 4 regions
(Nouakchott, Brakna, Gorgol and Assaba).

FY 2015 was also rich in learning for the World Vision Mauritania future strategic planning. For many years, WV Mauritania has become heavily
reliant on private sponsorship funding and on long term programming. However the reality that we are faced with today shows that the majority
of global responses are now humanitarian and targeted emergencies.

This reality calls on World Vision Mauritania to also focus more on building its humanitarian and emergency response skills at all levels, and putting
in place plans, systems and tools to enable the office to be effective in its capacity to respond and to remain relevant to the rapidly changing global
context.

Successfully integrating these elements will translate in a much greater capacity to promote Mauritanian children’s sustainable well- being in all its dimensions.
