Damage caused by Hurricane Patricia in Mascota, Jalisco
At the community of Tecuani, La Mascota Municipality, in the state of Jalisco, hundreds of families lost their maize, tomato and hot peppers crops after the river overflowed, which in normal conditions has a riverbank that is 19 feet wide. After Hurricane Patricia the river increased its width up until it reached 328 feet, destroying everything in its path.
