People in Gibitngil Island in Medellin town, northern Cebu, were not spared from typhoon Haiyan's fury. Giant waves and violent winds smashed their homes and livelihoods. The town is located 120 kilometers from Cebu City and from the main island, a 15 minute boat ride to reach this village.
