Empowered Worldview has led to statistically significant improvements in measures of hope, self-efficacy and self-reliance. It has also led to statistically significant improvements in rates of child well-being as measured by stunting. Empowered Worldview is likely to have a significant multiplier effect on child well-being as measured by stunting. The impact of EWV is greater in households where other indicators, addressed by other World Vision programs, are more positive. Factors that increase the positive impact of EWV on child well-being include the availability of food, access to health services, mothers’ own health and good child feeding practices.

World Vision is deeply concerned for the well-being of children and their families affected by the earthquake: Children are among the most affected, facing increased risks, loss of learning, and urgent protection needs. World Vision is providing life-saving relief assistance to the children and the families affected by the earthquake. We aim to support 500,000 people, including 85,057 boys and 86,902 girls, through both immediate relief and long-term recovery efforts.

World Vision surveyed 268 health facilities in low-resource settings in 9 countries to assess delivery of Essential Nutrition Actions to improve maternal and child health and nutrition outcomes.

The Cash Waves research, commissioned by World Vision’s MEER office in partnership with Qualisus Consulting, aims to assess the broader impact of CVA programmes on mental health and psychosocial well-being, livelihood-resilience, community cohesion, gender equality and social inclusion (GESI), and child well-being amongst marginalised groups and youth.
