DR Congo: Joint Mission Reviews GAINS – Tuya Kumpala Progress in Strengthening Community Resilience

A joint supervision mission led by the Provincial Ministry of Agriculture, the Office for Agricultural Access Roads (OVDA) and World Vision DRC visited Nyanga and Kitangua Health Zones to assess the progress of the GAINS – Tuya Kumpala programme. The mission reviewed agricultural activities, community savings groups, health and education outcomes, and the rehabilitation of rural feeder roads, while identifying opportunities and challenges affecting implementation. The findings highlight encouraging progress in strengthening food security, improving household resilience, reducing malnutrition and promoting sustainable rural development through strong community participation and local ownership in Kasai.
