Humanitarian Emergency Affairs 2025 Annual Report - EAST AFRICA
Download
The humanitarian landscape across East Africa continues to grow more complex. Conflict, climate shocks, disease outbreaks, displacement and shrinking humanitarian funding are converging at a time when millions of children and families need support the most. Yet even in this challenging environment, hope persists through collective action.
In FY25, World Vision East Africa adapted, innovated and continued to respond where needs were greatest, reaching 7.5 million people, including 4 million children, with life-saving assistance across nine countries. From food assistance, health and nutrition services, and WASH interventions to education, child protection and livelihoods support, our teams remained committed to protecting lives while helping communities build resilience for the future.
As crises become more protracted and resources more constrained, the importance of anticipatory action, local leadership and strong partnerships has never been clearer. Together, we continue to stand with the most vulnerable communities, ensuring children can survive, recover and thrive despite the challenges around them.
