In 2025, conflict, climate shocks, and a deepening funding crisis continued to heighten vulnerability for children and families across West Africa. Guided by our Christian faith and our commitment to the most vulnerable children, our teams continued to walk alongside communities in the nine countries where we work directly and two more where we work through partners. Thanks to the enduring commitment of our donors, partners, and sponsors, our team of over 1,800 staff directly reached more than 11.5 million people through our development, humanitarian, and advocacy programmes.
Health and nutrition services reached 4.9 million people, and clean water, sanitation and hygiene reached 2.2 million. Child protection, livelihoods, faith and development, and education together reached millions more, in addition to 5.8 million people reached through our humanitarian response operations. Additionnally, communities and children drove 81 policy changes during the year, reaching more than 38 million children. Child sponsorship remained the foundation of programming across the region,
This was the final year of our five-year strategy, delivered through USD 235 million of investment. The achievements in this report were made possible by our donors, partners, governments, faith leaders, sponsors, and the communities who continue to lead their own development.
