In 2025, millions of people across West and Central Africa continued to face a polycrisis with resilience, even as pressures on humanitarian systems deepened. Humanitarian action during the year took place in an environment shaped by overlapping crises, evolving political contexts, and increasing strain on humanitarian access, capacity, and resources across the region.

Despite the growing needs and resources coming under sustained pressure, our commitment did not waver. World Vision sustained its commitment to children and communities affected by crisis, responding across nine countries. We reached 5.8 million people, supported by an investment of over USD 148 million in cash and in‑kind assistance. Children accounted for approximately 50 per cent of those reached, reflecting our focus on those most affected by disruption, displacement, and vulnerability.

This regional overview reflects not only what was delivered, but how humanitarian action was carried out in a complex and changing environment. It underscores a continued commitment to ensuring that children across West and Central Africa remain protected, supported, and visible in the midst of crisis.
