Disaster risk reduction work by World Vision India
Friday, September 16, 2022

World Vision India has been working with communities in 118 projects across the country on community disaster preparedness initiatives, developing community task forces with special skills in early warning, search and rescue, first aid, shelter management, and WASH. World Vision India has also been working on ecosystem-based initiatives such as farmer-managed natural regeneration, community-level water management, improving green cover, and clean energy applications. School-safety programme is also a priority in all operational areas.

Integrate disaster risk reduction into all long-term development programmes, thereby reducing the vulnerability of the communities to potential hazards and enhancing the community-level preparedness for disaster situations.
