At World Vision Mozambique, we work alongside communities, the Government and strategic partners to strengthen local healthcare systems and reduce maternal and child mortality in the country's most vulnerable regions. With active programmes across 44 districts, our holistic approach focuses on family-centred behaviour change, community support and health system strengthening.

Key Impact at a Glance

  • We support more than 1,900 functional Community Health Committees, all 100% linked to nearby health facilities.
  • We have distributed over 66 million insecticide-treated nets nationwide and trained 98,910 volunteers in malaria prevention through the Global Fund.
  • Around 13,000 children complete their full vaccination schedule annually , and 15,000 benefit from regular Growth Monitoring and Promotion (GMP) services.
  • Our community-led Positive Deviance/Hearth (PDH) approach achieves a 95% graduation rate for children recovering from moderate acute malnutrition.

Partnering for Scale

Our large-scale portfolio includes vital partnerships with global donors, such as the Global Fund ($59.3M) to fight malaria across 9 provinces , and the USDA ($35M) PARES project, which integrates school feeding with essential health and deworming interventions.
