UNCRC General comment No. 25 5th Anniversary Joint Letter

This joint letter marks the fifth anniversary of UNCRC General Comment No. 25, which reaffirmed in 2021 that children’s rights must be fully protected in the digital world and set clear expectations for governments and businesses.

While progress has been made globally, children continue to face significant risks online. To mark this milestone, more than 55 organisations are calling on States to ensure that businesses are held accountable for designing and delivering technology that is rights‑respecting and age‑appropriate by design and by default.
