Lebanon Response 2026 - Situation Report #12
Download
World Vision Lebanon's Situation Report #12 highlights the continued deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the country between 19 May and 11 June 2026, despite the announcement of a further 45-day ceasefire extension.
Ongoing ceasefire violations, including airstrikes, shelling, displacement orders, and military activity, continued to drive humanitarian needs across the country. Violence expanded beyond southern Lebanon, with airstrikes reaching Beirut's southern suburbs for the first time since the renewed ceasefire.
More than 1.1 million people remain displaced, including approximately 370,000 children, while overcrowded shelters, repeated displacement, attacks on healthcare systems, and movement restrictions continue to place vulnerable families at heightened risk.
During this period, World Vision Lebanon and its partners reached more than 191,000 people, including over 66,700 children, through emergency food assistance, water trucking, hygiene support, psychosocial support, recreational activities for children, shelter assistance, and protection interventions.
This report also highlights growing operational constraints linked to insecurity, funding gaps, and rising response costs, while reinforcing advocacy calls for the protection of civilians, unrestricted humanitarian access, increased humanitarian funding, and a permanent ceasefire.
Looking ahead, World Vision Lebanon will continue scaling emergency assistance, strengthening support for vulnerable groups, expanding education and protection programming, and enhancing preparedness for potential further escalation.
