In Brazil, World Vision is leading a child-led research initiative on school meals as part of its JÁ CHEGA (ENOUGH) campaign, placing children’s voices at the centre of advocacy and programme development. Children actively participated in the research process by conducting interviews, focus groups, and surveys to explore the realities of school meal programmes in their communities.

Their insights revealed key challenges in access, quality, and consistency, while also expressing their hopes for a future where every child enjoys nutritious meals at school. This initiative not only reflects the lived experiences and priorities of Brazilian children but also contributes to broader efforts to ensure school meals support learning, health, and equity across the country.
